As part of the diverse range of activities offered to its members, The Polo Club of Boca Raton has successfully integrated off-site excursions into its cultural arts calendar. Guided by the dedicated Cultural Arts Committee and the activities and events department, these bus trips have become popular and convenient for members to explore interesting destinations while leaving all the planning in capable hands. The Cultural Arts Committee meticulously plans the season's excursions, ensuring various engaging and enriching experiences for the Club's members. Organizing eight distinctive bus trips this year, the committee showcases its commitment to providing members with unique opportunities beyond the Club's premises. Planning these bus trips begins during the summer when committee members form smaller groups to brainstorm and propose potential locations and activities. Once the details are finalized, the event's manager/coordinator organizes logistics such as transportation, meals, and tickets. The meticulous planning typically starts in October, and by January's arrival, the members are ready to embark on a series of exciting adventures. The diversity of the destinations is a key feature of the bus trips. While Art Basel and Art Miami are consistent annual favorites, The Polo Club team strives to introduce new and captivating places each year, offering experiences that members might not easily discover independently. One of the reasons these bus trips have become so popular among members is the hassle-free experience they provide. The Polo Club of Boca Raton handles all the details, from planning the itinerary to organizing meals and securing tickets. Members simply hop on the bus, much like embarking on a nostalgic field trip, allowing them to enjoy the journey without worrying about logistical details. Each trip typically includes three main components: a visit to a museum, a delightful lunch, and another museum or cultural activity. This formula ensures a well-rounded day of exploration, good food, sports spectating such as the Boca pickleball tournament, and cultural enrichment. The upcoming bus trips scheduled for the first half of 2024 offer a diverse array of experiences: January 25, 2024: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens Experience a unique connection between Japan and South Florida at Morikami, where young Japanese farmers aimed to revolutionize agriculture.
